Favorite thing about Youth Ministry, loves it when a junior higher/high schooler/or college student finally find their own belief and faith in God. In his spare time likes to ride his bike, camping, playing with his kids, and watching movies with his wife.  You can be sure that he will take you up on a offer to meet at a coffee shop in the area anytime

Dennis Platt - Senior Pastor

Born in the early 1960?s into a preachers home, Dennis grew up mostly in Kansas and Missouri and decided early to pursue ministry as his life?s endeavor.  He attended and graduated from Ozark Christian College in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Literature.  He has been married to Carla for 32 years and they have two girls, Emily and Stephanie, both grown.  Getting married was not the only thing that happened in 1983 as Dennis began preaching weekly, and has continued to do so in several ministries, including nearly 16 years at the Cedar Falls Church of Christ.  Dennis hobbies include buying and selling musical instruments, cars, or just about anything else he can fix up and turn over.  He and Carla enjoy camping, taking trips, and spending time with family and friends.  He also enjoys making others feel superior at Golf.   Dennis is conservative politically and scripturally and believes that ?where the Bible speaks, we speak, and where the Bible is silent, we are silent? (well, mostly silent).  He also believes that when God speaks in the Holy Scriptures, it needs to be paramount in our lives, and that God?s grace is free and available to everyone. He knows from personal experience and certain tragedies that God?s people and God?s Kingdom are gifts from above that give aid and comfort in a time of need.  Dennis looks forward to sharing God?s message to any who are ready to listen.
